Need just a wittle bit of help. A soccer player kicks a soccer ball at +10.0 m/s at an angle of 60°. What are the horizontal and vertical components of velocity of the kick? So I already found the vertical (which is+8.66 m/s), but I need help on finding the horizontal. Thanks!

Hmmm, so I got -5.00m/s

Did I mess up?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, not sure what you did. The number is correct (5 m/s), but you shouldn't get a negative number. Cos(60 degrees) = 1/2 1/2 * 10 = 5

Dang I almost got it.. THANKS :) I appreciate the help.
