i think Louis XIV was considered the Sun King because he reigned for 72 years. Also he did not involve himself with the struggles of working people or the sufferings of the poor. He also did not move to Paris, but instead was the one who helped to turn Versailles into a lavish palatial estate for the king.

Louis XIV was considered the Sun King because he was in the middle of the empires in France, his empire was in the middle so people referred to him as the Sun King because of the orbiting planets.
