Will give a MEDAL!!! What is the equation of the line? http://static.k12.com/calms_media/media/1503500_1504000/1503770/1/1bf0d5d19875f8ba5b37c787b050508150a1633f/MS_IMC-140523-131301.jpg

equation of a line: y=mx+b. choose 2 points from the line. I choose (0,0) and (3,2) find the slope.m=[y1-y2]/[x1-x2]. after you find the slope choose one of the points and plug them in to the equation of the line, along with the slope. then you find b. Hope this helps and let me know if you have any more questions!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but how do you turn it into an equation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so the slope is 2/3 so you put y=2/3x+b. then you choose one of the points(3,2) and you plug it in..2=2/3(3)+b. Simplify. 2=3+b. b=-1. y=2/3x-1, that's the equation

@15Twilight none of my options have -1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what are your options?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh wait, I think I made a mistake because 2/3 times 3 is supposed to be 2, not 3 *facepalm*, so then b would be 0...is 0 in you options??
