Will medal and fan! Easy Peasy Question :D Caught between A and B?

I would think it would be b. Multiplying something against a decimal always results in a lower number than what you multiplied the decimal against.

Easiest way to check it is to get an example. What happens when you do (0.5)^2? How is that result compared to the original value you started with (0.5) after applying the power of 2?

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

It is actually B \[0.07 \times 0.07 \] Equals a number that is less than 0.7 That shows it is decreasing. If you graph it, it comes out to this: http://prntscr.com/5ioeha So it is B c:

Thanks guys!!

Long story short : If you apply any kind of exponential to a number that is less than 1 - it decreases. If you apply it to anything greater than 1 - it increases. If you apply it to 1 - it stagnates (1 to the power of anything is 1).

So it's B.
