Solve this system of equations using any method. 4x – y = 5 3x + y = 16 (Points : 4) (3, 7) (3, 5) (4, 11) (4, 4)

OpenStudy (radar):

this system is just fine for elimination method. Eliminate y by adding the two equations and then solve for x from their sum.

OpenStudy (radar):

After you get the value of x, let me know and I will help you getting y.

@marie123 Do you understand what he is saying?

OpenStudy (radar):

4x - y = 5 3x + y = 16 Add these -------------- 7x = 21 This is the sum, can you solve for x ???

OpenStudy (radar):

Good luck with you studies. work hard, work often, you'll will learn.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would be the first answer then right?

Nnesha (nnesha):

yesh

Nnesha (nnesha):

if you want to check your answer just plug x and y values into the equation if both side equal then your answer is right but remember you have to check in both equation

Nnesha (nnesha):

|dw:1419030727102:dw| both side equal yes now plug that into second equation
