@Chelleyhi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Because sabotage basically means thwart but is a little "stronger", and arctic (can) basically mean cold but is a little "stronger." Not a great explanation but do you sorta get it? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe the answer is C, arctic. Sabotage is synonymous with thwart. Therefore, A.) Cold can be a temperature, but so can hot. Temperature is not synonymous with cold. B.) Snow is a thing, while cold is a descriptor. C.) The definition of arctic is "very cold'. Hence, arctic is synonymous with cold. 4.) Humid=humidity which is associated with high temperatures. This would be an antonym of cold.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually humidity is NOT an antonym of cold, it can be humid and cold at the same time. Humid means that there's a lot of moisture in the air. Other than that, good job, just wanted to correct that lol.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You're absolutely right! I should have double checked before submitting the answer. Thanks for the feedback. :) @LeeEtchison
