OpenStudy (mariahstewart):

can somebody help me please

OpenStudy (nechirwan):

A genetic mutation is when a pattern in your DNA has a slight change, specifically in the AT and GC pairings. DNA is very very small stuff in cells which is basically the coding for your body-whatever DNA you have is read by the cell and it produces the contents of your body based on the DNA. Because it is changed, some part of your body will physically change because the cells read the new, mutated DNA. Signs most often occur in tumors, but very very very rarely genetic mutations can be something new or beneficial. For example, blue eyes are a genetic mutation from ages ago, and everyone who has blue eyes can trace their lineage back to one person.
