here

OpenStudy (bohotness):

i tryy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so whats the answer cause I don't get

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

First find how many boxes machine 1 produces in 5 minutes (just look at the y -value and x=5 for machine 1)

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

What value is that?

OpenStudy (bohotness):

which one yuo think it is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

umm I think it is c

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

No.

OpenStudy (bohotness):

\(\huge~try~again\)

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

what value is this? (refer to print screen) http://prntscr.com/5itez8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it B

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

No.

OpenStudy (bohotness):

try again pink12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k then the answer is D

OpenStudy (bohotness):

jhanny?

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

I am not going to bother helping because you are not trying to solve it, but simply guessing answers. Good luck @bohotness

OpenStudy (bohotness):

thakns

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k the answer which is correct is A

OpenStudy (bohotness):

let me bring my friend in @One098

OpenStudy (one098):

Okay so do you know what the graph implies? @12pink12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whats implies

OpenStudy (anonymous):

help

OpenStudy (one098):

Which do you think is the answer? and why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A because its my best reasoning

OpenStudy (bohotness):

..

OpenStudy (one098):

Okay, so looking at the first question Machine 1, packed 75 boxes in 3 minutes. Seeing that, I'm assuming that in 1 minute it packed 25 and in 2 minutes it packed 50, so its a rate of 1 minute increasing while the packages increase by 25.

OpenStudy (one098):

Now, looking at Machine 2, it packed 75 boxes in 5 minutes. So we could think about ratios: \[\frac{ 5 }{ 75 } = \frac{ 1 }{ ? }\]

OpenStudy (one098):

To solve for ?, multiply 1 by 75 which equals 75 then divide by 5.

OpenStudy (one098):

So Machine 2, in 1 minute packaged 15 boxes. In 2 minutes it packaged 30 boxes. In 3 minutes it packed 45 boxes. In 4 minutes it packaged 60 boxes AND in 5 minutes it packaged 75 boxes.

OpenStudy (one098):

So if in 1 minute, Machine 1 packaged 25 boxes and Machine 2 packaged 15 boxes, which one has a higher rate at JUST 1 minute?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

machine 1 so the answer is A RIGHT???????

OpenStudy (one098):

Machine 1, yes. However, if in 3 minutes it packaged 75, in 4 minutes it would package 100 and in 5 minutes it would package 125, yes the answer is A.

OpenStudy (bohotness):

:p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you help me with 3 more

OpenStudy (one098):

Sure, but please post each in a new post, thanks! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah ill tag you

OpenStudy (one098):

Okay.
