Association between two variables will be described as strong, weak or none; and the direction of the association may be positive, negative or none.

As the weight of the roast increases, the cooking time increases. That makes sense, and the association is positive. What I'm wondering is if the association could, in any way, be nonlinear. I don't think so. If I were answering the question, I would go with positive association.
