OpenStudy (raheelafzaal):

difference between liner diff eq. and homogeneous?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

See in linear, degree is 1. However in homogenous the power to which the terms are raised should be equal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for example

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x + y = 1 is linear

OpenStudy (anonymous):

however x^2 + y^2 = 1 is not. But this one is homogenous

OpenStudy (anonymous):

xy + y^2 = 0 is not linear. but it is homogenous
