Given the following system of equations, identify the type of system. x + y = 6 y = 3 - x A:consistent B:inconsistent C:equivalent

Nnesha (nnesha):

https://www.desmos.com/calculator use this calculator to check it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ty. can you explain how to do it

OpenStudy (danjs):

If they are parallel lines, and not the same line, it is inconsistent

OpenStudy (danjs):

inconsistent , meaning the two equations have no solutions, they do not intersect.

Nnesha (nnesha):

just write equation in calculator and follow what danj said

OpenStudy (danjs):

Equivalent would be describing the same line, if you can multiply one equation by a constant and get the other equation, they are the same line and equivalent

Nnesha (nnesha):

need more help ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you Nnesha i got it

Nnesha (nnesha):

okay :)
