1/a + 1/2 = 2/a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since this is an addition problem, the demonstrators must be the same

So your answer was 2/a?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or is that the equation itself

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

^^ i'm pretty sure he has to solve for a. cross multiply |dw:1419123407419:dw| you get 2+a, now you cross multiply 2/a with 1/1 and you get 2+a as well. equate these two together to get 2+a=2+a 4=2a a=2
