hi

OpenStudy (danjs):

y ' = x/y

OpenStudy (danjs):

separate variables, and integrate both sides to get y=

OpenStudy (danjs):

so if you integrate both sides of that you get y^2 = x^2 + C

OpenStudy (danjs):

y^2 - x^2 = C Find the constant using point (3,1)

OpenStudy (danjs):

1^2 - 3^2 = C = -8

OpenStudy (danjs):

so y^2 - x^2 = -8

OpenStudy (danjs):

THe third one is the same as that... x^2 - y^2 = 8

OpenStudy (danjs):

just multiply both sides by -1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh got it, thanks!

OpenStudy (danjs):

no prob,
