OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can someone walk me through how to do this? http://prntscr.com/5j6f8i

OpenStudy (misty1212):

do you see the \(y\) intercept?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah, -80

OpenStudy (misty1212):

ok so you know it will be \[y=mx-80\] you need \(m\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now what?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

find the slope.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

your y-intercept is: (0,-80) and choose any other point on the graph, and then use a slope formula.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Could I choose any 2 points?

OpenStudy (misty1212):

use your eyes to find the slope

OpenStudy (misty1212):

i can't get the draw tool to work count how many spaces you go to the right, then how many you go down

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, I know what you mean though, thanks

OpenStudy (misty1212):

or pick two points, say \((0,-80),(80,-90))\ to compute the slope

OpenStudy (misty1212):

\[(0,-80),(80,-90)\]
