Triangle RSV is congruent to triangle TVS. Find x. I got x=21.5 Is it correct?? The diagram is attached

OpenStudy (watchmath):

Since they are congruent, then \(\angle SRV=\angle VTS\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What's the difference? with RSV=TVS SRV=VTS

OpenStudy (watchmath):

For an angle \(\angle SRV\) and \(\angle RSV\) are differen. The first one is \(\angle R\) and the second one is \(\angle S\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And so what do I have to do to solve this question? I don't get it...

OpenStudy (watchmath):

Look at the angle \(\angle R\) and \(\angle T\). If they are the same, then what is the value of \(x\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2x+3 = 40...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And that's how I got 21.5...

OpenStudy (watchmath):

Try to plug in 21.5 into the x and see if it satisfies the equation that you just wrote

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh it doesn't xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oops I should have subtracted 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's 18.5 xDD Thank you for helping

OpenStudy (watchmath):

you are welcome :)
