Triangles QVS and RTS are similar. Find side VS. Now I don't have an answer because I have no idea how to solve this one. Someone help me please? xD
x/28=26/10
I got 72.8
Which doesn't seem to be correct... I don't know xD
why do you think it is incorrect ?
I'm getting x = 72.8 as well. It's certainly possible to have a length with a decimal number (and not a whole number).
Because the length from T-S is 28, and the extra length is V-T. Yet the length from V-T "looks" smaller than T-S, and so I just thought that if the length was abt 10, it would add up to about 40. Sorry it's just my weird sense xD
They want V to S. So that's the entire horizontal length of the larger triangle.
Those triangles arent to scale at all... look at length 10 vs 26 The answer is reasonable.
and yeah, the 26 length should be more than double that of the 10 length
I guess your right DanJS. Thanks for helping me everyone!! I got more to come ><
I wanna give you all a medal but I can't o.O
I see you have a very good intuition for geometry shapes :) but your teacher is kinda trying to trick you by giving that weird diagram
ahaha I see.
never sketch a diagram like that when you work on word problems it is easy to make mistakes if you start with a messy diagram
