Check my answer? Is this a polynomial? (picture below)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(A) This is not a polynomial. The entire graph is on one side of the vertical axis. (B) Yes, this graph represents a polynomial. There are two turning points and the least degree possible is two. (C) This is not a polynomial. There are no turning points. (D) Yes, this graph represents a polynomial. There is one turning point and the least degree possible is two. I think it's A because every polynomial I've seen crosses through the y axis, can anyone confirm?

OpenStudy (danjs):

yes it is, and it has one turning point, least degree 2

OpenStudy (danjs):

2 zeroes

OpenStudy (danjs):

every polynomial that looks like that will cross the y axis eventually, the ends go on forever

OpenStudy (danjs):

even if it is at y = fifty million it still will

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you so much
