If the angle measure is positive, the rotation is counterclockwise. If the angle measure is negative, the rotation is clockwise. Rotate the ray 5pi radians clockwise. this will put the ray into negative x asis. Finally, find the measure of the reference angle — the acute angle formed by the terminal side and the x-axis. The reference angle is zero as pi-pi=0

because in 5pi radians you have 2 full circle. and then you have a a pie radian left which is 180 degree so then reference angle 0
confirmed 180 degrees = pi radians reference angle = 0
