what is the equation of the line through (2,1) and perpendicular to the line through (-4,1) and (3, -2)

Nnesha (nnesha):

do you know slope formula ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y2 - y1 / x2 - x1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the slope of the perpendicular like is 3 got that but not sure about the other part of the question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There's another formula that could help you in this question. It's the point slope formula. y-y1= m(x-x1) m represents the slope and x1 is 2 and y1 is 1 since the line passes through 1,2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thx ill try that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay so what's the slope?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3??

Nnesha (nnesha):
