OpenStudy (anonymous):

LAST ONE LOL

OpenStudy (kidthatbro8):

to get the answer, you multiply 140 by .20.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's all??

OpenStudy (kidthatbro8):

yeah, it's what i do c:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 2800

OpenStudy (kidthatbro8):

making 20% into a decimal and doing multiplication.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait so my answer is 2800 right???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Multiply 0.20 x 140 to get the answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's not 2800. LOL

OpenStudy (kidthatbro8):

no, you are doing 0.20 * 140.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Kim21 What is 0.20 x 140?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

lets write it like this. 20% of a number is 140 --> 20% of x, is 140 --> x * 20% =140 ---> 0.20 x = 140. Can you solve for x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hold on...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

28 @AnswerMyQuestions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes! So 28 is your answer! :)

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

and this is not 0.20 times 140, answer my questions.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thx!!!

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

it wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you mean? @SolomonZelman

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Read my post: lets write it like this. 20% of a number is 140 --> 20% of x, is 140 --> x * 20% =140 ---> 0.20 x = 140. Can you solve for x? (divide by 0.20 on both sides)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you sure you looked at the question right?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Kim please do this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so my answer is what???

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

My bad

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I knew it. LOLOL

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

yes, I though it is 20% of what number is 140. as that is more typical.. sorry for confusion y'all..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

XD

OpenStudy (kidthatbro8):
