Which is equal to 33 • 35? A. 3−2 B. 32 C. 38 <----- D. 315 I think B is the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think B is the answer because.......

OpenStudy (igreen):

I'm guessing you have exponents? \(3^3 \cdot 3^5\)

OpenStudy (dmndlife24):

?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[3^{3}\times3^{5}\]= 3x3x3 x 3x3x3x3x3 which equals 27 x 243

OpenStudy (dmndlife24):

Add exponents

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then you multiply that to get 6,561

OpenStudy (igreen):

Your answer is correct, because when we multiply exponents with like bases, we add the exponents and keep the base. \(3^3 \cdot 3^5 \rightarrow 3^{3 + 5} \rightarrow 3^8\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i didn't do it that way

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yes, but that is an easy way to do it. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (dmndlife24):

You pointed to c but you said b is the answer?

OpenStudy (igreen):

Oh, I just noticed that.. 'cause I was talking about C..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry i meant C my bad

OpenStudy (dmndlife24):

Same

OpenStudy (igreen):

:)
