The Landscape Company paves patios for its customers using concrete. The graph represents the amount of concrete used, in pounds, over time, in hours. How many pounds of concrete were used before the workers took a break?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ur ans is correct.

OpenStudy (kamibug):

I think maybe it could be 160 b/c that's right before the line becomes horizontal for a while, meaning no concrete was used during that time, which could mean they were taking a break... :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let's take the slope = the amount of the concrete used in hours

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in first hour they used 80 lb and in the second they used 160 until 2 hours

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if the slope is zero , this mean that they don't use amount of concrete

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the graph show how many they used UNTIL this hour; for example in 2 hours used 160 lb , in the first 80 and second used 80 lb

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but the graph show them accumulative , i think that between 2 and 3 the amount didnt increased , this mean the workers have a break :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 160

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it's 160

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the graph show how they used :D not how many use every Hours

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this mean accumulative !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@KamiBug what you think ?

OpenStudy (kamibug):

I agree. ^.^

Was 160 the answer?
