How does mitosis in plant cells differ from that in animal cells? A. Plant cells lack spindle fibers. B. Plant cells lack centrosomes. *C. Animal cells lack cytokinesis. D. Animal cells lack a cell plate.
Which one do you think it is? Why or why not? It would be easier to tutor you if you explain what about the question is giving you trouble :)
What happened? I am just asking you to guess your best, I'll correct you if you do it wrong.
I'm guessing C*, but i also think the answer could be A, because plant cells do not have centrioles, for the spindle fibers to attach to..
And sorry i'm just reviewing my notes to better understand Mitosis..
Actually C is incorrect because cytokineses occurs in animal cell only and starts in late anaphase. In plants cell division takes place through cell plate formation because constriction is not possible due to presence of hard/rigid cell wall.
Getting it?
So D. Animals lack a cell plate?
