So i need help on how they drew the diagram and found the new angles

OpenStudy (amistre64):

no need to redraw it ...

OpenStudy (amistre64):

|dw:1419362968853:dw|

OpenStudy (amistre64):

using trig we can construct 2 equations in 2 unknowns if we know that all the opposing forces must equal out

OpenStudy (amistre64):

b1+b2 = 64 a1 = a2 the trig helps us define the parts now

OpenStudy (amistre64):

sin(35) = b1/F1, b1 = F1 sin(35) cos(35) = a1/F1, a1 = F1 cos(35) sin(50) = b2/F2, b2 = F2 sin(50) cos(50) = a2/F2, a2 = F2 cos(35)

Hello I cant see your replies this site keeps disconnecting and reconnecting every 2 secs. And an error message pops up.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

this reduce gives us a system of 2 equation in 2 unknowns F1 sin(35) + F2 sin(50) = 64 F1 cos(35) = F2 cos(35)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

F2 cos(50) that is .... typo :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I did. It is just with this site. My internet connection is fine.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

yeah, the site gives us all headaches. also the browser you use tends to add to or diminsh the effectiveness

OpenStudy (amistre64):

im not familiar with the method they used, so i cant comment on it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry but how did you come to the conclusion: b1+b2 = 64 and a1 = a2
