lol... here is one.... My watch is 10 minues slow but I think that it is 5 minutes fast. My friend's watch is 5 minutes fast, but he thinks it is 10 minutes slow. We decide to meet at a bus stop at precisely 4 pm. Who arrives first? This did my head in... and I decided to drive...
i think
minutes*** >????
The friend because It's five minutes fast
Friend 30 minutes earlier
I'm confused. My watch is 10 min slow but I think it is 5 mins fast...
How can the person think two different things like that
or does his friend think it is 10 min slow?
So if your watch is 10 minutes slow that means when it says 4:00 it's really 4:10. But if you think it's 5 minutes fast, that means you believe your clock is ahead of the normal time, so you can imagine that you will arrive everywhere "on the dot" at 4:05 since your watch is fast. But 4:05 is really 4:15. It is almost the exact same for your friend, but in the opposite direction. Notice that neither of them thought their watch was slow and it actually was slow or thought it was fast and through it was fast, which would cancel out the error. These errors have to add up. =P
Thanks @campbell_st
