Hi I'm an IB student doing Math HL. What's the best way to introduce myself to calculus?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would like to ask the same. Maybe, it would be nice to know first algebra and trigonometry. Do you know any site on internet where I can study it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Khan Academy is generally pretty good for pre-calculus.

While you can technically do some basic calculus without trig, you can't without solid Algebra II skills, and having both really strong is important.

calculus is all about limits, derivatives and integration of functions and their applications. but you need to know more about functions first ! inequalities, one-one onto, difference between functions and relations etc. Trigo is another story altogethor - there u must know 1. the impact of different quadrants on sine-cos-tan 2. ranges for sin-cos-tan 3. how u get inverse of sin-cos tan and their ranges ! - then it will be easier to understand trig in calculus
