What does heat have to do with the circular movement of air in the atmosphere?

Warm air rises beacuse it is less dense than cool air
As air is heated, the molecules move faster and take up more space. They are farther apart so the air is less dense than surrounding ir. It rises and cooler air rolls in to replace it. This is called convection.
