HELP!!! I GIVE MEDALSSSSSSSSSSS!

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Post question :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A yearbook printer charges based on the number of pages printed. Here is a table that shows the cost of some recent yearbooks:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which equation gives the cost, y, in terms of the number of pages, x? A. y = 0.012x + 1.25 B. y = 0.012x + 0.65 C. y = 0.012x + 49.985 D. y = 83.3x + 0.65

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Explain how you get your answer please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can just plug in the x values into the following equations and see if you got the right y output.

Nnesha (nnesha):

replace x and y by their values and solve if you gt both side equal then that is your right equation

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

y = 0.012x + 0.65 Honestly I just plugged them in to test which one worked. y = 0.012(50) + 0.65=1.25 etc etc

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Is there another way to solve this??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

umm u think thats it

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

y = 0.012x + 0.65 is definitely right, but I'm just wondering if there is a better way more complex way to solve this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha thanx @Nnesha

Nnesha (nnesha):

:) my pleasure

Nnesha (nnesha):

plugging x and y values is a best way to solve bec when you plug x values and solve if you get y value which they gave you so that's mean answer is 100% right

Nnesha (nnesha):

and you can check all equation there is only one equation if you solve that by plugging x and y you should get both side equal and you can check all x and y values by plugging them into the equation one by one|dw:1419549686526:dw| hope its make sense :)
