Which association best describes the scatter plot?
an association means that given one of the variables (e.g no of siblings in this case) you can draw some inference (I.e a prediction) about the the other variable (e.g. grade in this case) Usually this means a sensible line through the points. Looking at the chart - can you draw a line that indicates any predictability between the 2 variables?

I see you have ticked that option - but I'd like to know why you chose that option. It would indicat that as the grade increases you could predict an increase in number of siblings FROM THE CHART. Is there a sensible line that yiou can draw through the points which indicates a positive relationship?

the points look fairly random to me - given a grade I don't think you could reliably make an estimate of number of siblings - do you?
