I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but I've been wrong on these questions before... A school choir has 36 members. There are three times as many underclassmen as seniors. How many seniors are in the choir? 9 seniors 12 seniors 24 seniors 27 seniors

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

What do you think the answer is even if you're to reluctant on that choice?

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

Hint: if there are x seniors there are 3x underclassmen

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it's A, because(the way I'm seeing it) there are four parts to this. 3 being the underclassmen and 1 being the seniors. So you just divide 36 by 4 and get 9. 9 is one part, since the seniors are one part, that is the answer.

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

That's what I think so also!

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

@cwrw238 Are we wrong in this?

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

I am just wanting to make sure @cwrw238

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

you r right

OpenStudy (calculusxy):
