The two-way table shows the number of people who have or have not graduated from college and who live or do not live in their hometown. Among people who do not live in their hometown, what is the relative frequency of not graduating from college? Express your answer as a decimal, and round to the nearest hundredth if necessary.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Then divide that by the total number of people not in their hometown

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't get it:(

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

So only 4 people do not live in their hometwon and didn't graduate from college.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

hometown*

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

And then you have to divide that by all the people who either graduated or didn't graduate from college but do not live in their hometown to get the decimal.

1.4

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

\[\frac{ 4 }{ 14 }=?\] That was what I was thinking...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whoops

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it is \[\frac{ 4 }{ 14 }=?\]

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

lol

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

And then we have to round to the nearest hundred then.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.29

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Correct!
