The graph shows the water level in a bathtub, in inches, over time, in minutes. After the tub started to drain, how long did it take for the tub to drain completely?

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

According to the graph, for what time value did the draining start?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

from 0

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

No, you can't drain from zero. You have to have something to drain, first. It fills for 3 minutes and then sits for 2 minutes. Do you see that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Then it fills for 2 minutes and sits for a while. Clear?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't get u

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

You have to look at the graph and understand that TIME moves from left to right.

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Water level moves from bottom to top. UP is filling Horizontal is sitting. DOWN is draining.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thank u for ur help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would've said 3 minutes because it goes from 12 inches to 0 inches in three minutes
