I think about this as if the point (2,1) were "inked" and the the upper half of the graph folded about the x-axis, then on what point below the x-axis would the point (2, 1) fall.
The 2 in (2,1) would still be 2, but where would the 1 in (2,1) fall?
would it be (2.-1)
