Any idea?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope

OpenStudy (loser66):

d+q =40 , do you know why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm sure you'll tell me:)

OpenStudy (loser66):

Read the problem, it says: let d is number of dime, q is number of quarter and "she has 40 coins" so that d + q= 40

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It says it's wrong

OpenStudy (loser66):

1dime = 10 cents 1quarter = 25 cents total she has $7.75 = 775 cents hence 10*d + 25*q = 775

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh

OpenStudy (loser66):

So far, you have 2 equations \(\begin{cases}d+q= 40\\10d+25q=775\end{cases}\) solve it and you get the answer.
