OpenStudy (bcavin):

Which nucleic acid provides the master code for protein synthesis? DNA RNA mRNA tRNA

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Welcome to OpenStudy. Which one do you think it is? :)

OpenStudy (bcavin):

mRNA or DNA

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Have you learned about central Dogma of genetics?

OpenStudy (bcavin):

no

OpenStudy (abhisar):

It states that the flow of information within a cell is in the direction DNA-->RNA-->Proteins.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Getting it?

OpenStudy (bcavin):

not really

OpenStudy (bcavin):

is it DNA

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Yes, the master code is saved in DNA. This code is then transferred to RNA via a process called as transcription which is then finally transferred to proteins via a process called as translation.

OpenStudy (bcavin):

ok thanks

OpenStudy (abhisar):

welcome :)
