Which pair of variables has a clear causal link? *sales of hot dogs and cold coffee at a snack bar *the number of road accidents and the number of vegetarians in a city *the amount of snowfall and the number of wins for a hockey team *the number of units sold by an appliance company and its annual revenues

OpenStudy (henrietepurina):

First and last. They are sales :)

So A.?

@Brianna2013 What's a causal link? This is just saying one thing causes another. So if a bunch of prisons suddenly let all the prisoners out and at the same time there as an increase in crime, we could say that there was likely a causal link. What about car accidents and number of vegetarians? Do vegetarians cause car accidents? I don't think so! Just reason them out, and ask yourself if they're related or not and if one might cause the other.
