AP STATS problem? could somebody explain to me the answer to this problem? im so confused! thanks for your help :)
2 You want to take a simple random sample (SRS) of 50 out of the 816 students who live in a dormitory on campus. You label the students 001 to 816 in alphabetical order. In the table of random digits, you read the entries 95592 94007 69769 33547 72450 16632 81194 14873 The first three students in your sample have labels c) 400, 769, 335
Do you see how they got that?
i dont see it at all : ( i tried rearranging the numbers into a list with three digits like this 955 929 400 769 335 477 245 016 632 811 941 487 3
it seems very easy im just not seeing it
seperate your random numbers by three places first given : 95592 94007 69769 33547 72450 16632 81194 14873 insert places : 955 929 400 769 ...
so since 955 is not between 1 and 816, we reject that
same with 929
OHHHHHHHH !!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
not between 001 and 816
wow. that was super easy! thanks so much, its juest rearranging and rejecting hose not in the range
: ) <3 thank you
