OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

Owls are smart. Openstudy Logo. Owlfred = Alfred Made it Mascot c:

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

There are so many other creatures that God made, and you are allocating the owls? and btw the first smartest animal is debated between dog and rat, and perhaps some other animals, I don't think owl is one of the smartest animals though...

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Anyway, mister owl, good luck to you....

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

I need to go to other sections

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

They are known for their sharp senses

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I demand judgement for racism !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Don't be offensive, inappropriate, or creepy! So avoid: Insulting, berating, or otherwise discouraging others. Cursing and bypassing the language filters. Sexual innuendo, or "hitting on people". Soliciting personal, private, or offline contact information. ****Any form of racism, sexism, or any other prejudicial "isms".****

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@SolomonZelman I reported you.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Yeah, kids these days... I don't even know what to say. A second after my false suspension the moderators will get me back. Already happened once, so re-logging in wouldn't be a tragedy. But, may I know \(\normalsize\color{blue}{ \rm why~you~reported }\) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Racism

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

this is either a joke, which seems rather silly than funny, or if you have really reported than I won't be impacted too much. It is more likely that \(\normalsize\color{blue}{ \rm YOU }\) will have to face the consequences. I am done replying to this useless (for me post)... enjoy the site.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Owls are creatures, you know. You can't disrespect them.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I wonder who I am...

pooja195 (pooja195):

lol :D

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

@owlfriend Who are you? O_O

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

1) The owls in this post are not related to Owlfred. 2) If you look at Athena, goddess of wisdom, you will find that she had a baby owl as her symbol. This lead to the owl being a symbol of wisdom in western culture. The old, wise owl in Whinny the Pooh is an example. There are also stories of the wisdom of owls in Native American culture that are completely unrelated to this. However, the origin of wisdom of owls in NAC is not as friendly as being favored by a goddess. http://www.theoi.com/Olympios/Athena.html http://nativeamericans.mrdonn.org/stories/wiseowl.html

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Those 'Cowgirls' are 12-4, while your 'aints are 7-9

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

No, I do not watch it. But I know enough about it to use it as an example of a wise owl in culture.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):
