this is the question

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Easy way to put it... you know that fraction must equal 2. as 2+5=7 How can you make a fraction that's over 3, equal to 2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

subtract 5 from both sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it will be x/3=2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you mean by subtract 5 from both sides show me the sum that you are doing at that stage

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then cross multiply u will get x=6
