A company produces accessories for smart phones and tablets. The profit on each smart phone case is $2, and the profit on each tablet case is $3. The company made a profit of $1,200 on the cases last month. The equation 2x + 3y = 1,200 represents the company's profit from cases last month, where x is the number of smart phone cases sold and y is the number of tablet cases sold. Below is a graph that represents the total profits for a third month. Write the equation of the line that represents this graph. Show your work or explain how you determined the equations.

give me a sec ill be back
they want the equation in what form?
with your given information, you can make a slope, and a y intercept. want it in slope intercept form?
thats what it says that represents this graph. so i don't think it matters as long as its an equation so sure yes in a slope intercept form :D
There is a negative slope and your y intercept is 300
that already tells you that y=mx+300
all you need to find is the slope now, which is clearly negative
how do i do that considering i only have one number and a bunch of letters?
your two points for calculating your slope would be: 0,300<<y intercept of course 150,200
recall that slope= \[\frac{ y2-y1 }{ x2-x1 }\]
plug in, tell me what you get
0^2-300^1 ___________ 150^2-200^1
or should 300 be first?
300 ___ 300-200=100
\[\frac{ 300-200 }{ 0-150 }=\frac{ 100 }{-150}=-\frac{ 2 }{ 3 }\]
that is ur slope^^
ohhh ok so my equation would be that?
@dtan5457
knowing your intercept is 300 and slope is -2/3 plug into y=mx+b please
y=-2/3x+300
@dtan5457
so is it right??
yes.
:D thankkss and nope thats all for now :D
