A little help please, it's functions. The problem in the comment.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Generate a table: \[-5 \le x \le 5\]\[f(x) = -(x)^{2}-2\]

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

x=1--->f(1)=-1-2=-3 x=2--->f(2)=-4-2=-6 and so on...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm just asking for a rerfresher, but wouldn't \[-5\le x \] be \[x \ge -5\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's the same, x would still be greater than -5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh ok, i was just making sure.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Michele_Laino Okay, I'm seeing it. Lemme see if I can process on paper.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So my input will be anything between -5 and 5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah I see so now, so \[-5 \le x \le 5\] is the domain?

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

itis vry simple, ince your funion is a parabola, so it is symmetric with respect to the y-axis, namely: |dw:1419890474072:dw|
