ALGEBRA 1; PLEASE HELP! WILL GIVE MEDALS. The graph below plots a function f(x): graph of line segment going through ordered pairs 0,150 and 3, 0 0 If x represents time, the average rate of change of the function f(x) in the first three seconds is ___. Answer for Blank 1:
Can you share the graph so I can help
Oh of course! sorry about that.
its fine

its not pulling up correctly. It says cookies arent right that I have to log off anf the log back in. Can you save the picture to your computer and then attach it
okay.
hey, i've got to go for a little, but could you explain the problem and answer for me- and i'll reward you when i get back??? please! :)
yup
ok so the average rate of change is also the slope over the 3 seconds.
All we need to do is use the slope formula \[m=\frac{ y _{2}-y _{1} }{ x _{2}-x _{1} }\]
\[x _{1}=0, y_{1}=150, x_{2}=3, y_{2}=0\]
so we substitute these values into the formula. \[m=\frac{ 0-150 }{ 3-0 }=\frac{ -150 }{ 3 }=-50\]
by doing this we can see the average rate of change is -50.
so in the blank i would write "-50"??? @Rea201
Yes that is all you should have to write
Thank you so much! could you help me with one more problem?? @rea201
