Help? :) Medal. How is terrorism different from other forms of warfare? Be sure to provide examples of economic, physical, political, or psychological impacts of terrorism in the world.

@iGreen Do you think you can help me with this?

OpenStudy (igreen):

Terrorism causes terror..there's no actual war they're fighting..they don't fight for anything. Usually there's two people fighting in a war, and they disagree so they're fighting over that. But that is different from terrorism.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Terrorism is just that, the act of causing terror. It's different from conventional warfare where 2 armies face off against each other in open battle. Terrorism, instead, uses cells, sometimes hidden in plain sight, and other assets to conduct indirect or asymmetrical warfare to cause damage, distress, and often to deliver a message. Terrorism can be completely independent of any one country or its politics. When Timothy McVeigh blew up a federal building in 1995, he did it as an act of revenge for Waco. When 9/11 happened, it was al-Quaeda who claimed responsibility for them because of US actions in the Middle East.
