Given a polynomial f(x), if (x - 2) is a factor, what else must be true?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A.f(0) = 2 B.f(0) = -2 C.f(-2) = 0 D.f(2) = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you fully understand the question, or should I explain it to you?

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

is you substitute 2to the x-2 the A will be true

OpenStudy (anonymous):

answers are going to be reported right away. just warning nothing personal.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Huh?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

reported Alexander:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, and no I don't understand it lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

see if x-2 is a factor then the remainder when dividing the polynomial by x-2 is 0 so x-2=0 so x=2 so f(2)=0 understood ? or should i elaborate more

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmm.. I get it a little bit lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

He got to it before I could but yea he is right.,,
