4(a x b) = (4 x a)b is an example of which algebraic property? Associative Property of Multiplication Transitive Property Reflexive Property Commutative Property of Multiplication

Directrix (directrix):

Do you have one of these options in mind as the answer? Just wondering. @yoyogators

Directrix (directrix):

Look at this properties chart which I have attached. It shows examples with numbers but one of these properties is the answer to your question.

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

I can give you a hint. Associative property of ADDITION:(3+2)+4=3+(2+4)

Directrix (directrix):

Another hint: the Associative property has to do with GROUPING as shown by @dtan5457

OpenStudy (anonymous):

From the chart it looks like A

Directrix (directrix):

Wow. I think that is correct. What do you think @dtan5457

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Looks about right. Associative shows that parenthesis do not affect the product or sum of numbers. It can be done with any sort of grouping, you'll get the same answer.

Directrix (directrix):

So, A it is @yoyogators

Could you check this answer for me?

Or would i need to ask a whole new question?
