Why was Athenian democracy so groundbreaking? A. It was the first time that a king was elected. B. It brought women into the Assembly. C. It made politics the business of every male citizen, not just a few. D. It gave warriors who didn't have much at all the chance to become wealthy.

Women had very limited rights and were barely considered citizens... it's not B, that's for certain.

It was one of the very first, too. @Zale101 Quite cool when you think about it; it truly was groundbreaking. Even America was inspired significantly by the Greek political system and some of their intellectuals. We are severely indebted to them!
