OpenStudy (surry99):

SOHCAHTOA

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok sin(x)=opp/hyp and cos(x)=adj/hyp and tan(x)=opp/adj

OpenStudy (surry99):

yes that is SOHCAHTOA

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't understand what to do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so sin(x)=e/f

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cos(x)=d/f and tan(x)=e/d :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh come onnn what do you do in clas?!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I haven't even learned this.. Ive done anything with sin cos tan

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so why are you doing them?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait which class are you in i took them from the 9th grade

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was assigned it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

geometry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok trigonometry is a relation between angles and sides and is used in right triangle (not always just giving you general view) and the 2 basics trigs are sine and cosine which state that sin(x) in a triangle is equal to the opposite side over the hypotenuse and cos(x) is equal to the adjacent over the hypotenuse thats the maximum i can explain it to you like this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but I dont get how to solve my problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

as shown e is the opposite and f is the hyp soooo sin(x)=e/f and d is the adjacent sooo cos(x)=d/f when i mean adj and opp is saying that the side facing angle x is the opp and the side adj to x is the adj so ofcourse it differs from one angle to another :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but how do I do the math?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like can you walk me through each step of finding the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It depends on what grade ur in!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm in 11th but this is a 9th grade class

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what were u doin in 9th grade??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

U got it now??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pls say u did!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what?
