What would you compare a self harmer in recovery/someone who is fighting depression to? Some people would compare a strong person to warrior, fighter, angel, etc. but I want something less cliche. (This is for a story/ English class.)

I think it's up to the writer's, your, interpretation of the subject. I personally never conform with the imagery, it never felt that way on my end.

a self harmer is a person who is damaged but its a person with a story and thats a lot more then what some people have
