In January, the depth of a lake was 1,061 feet. In August, the depth of the lake was 583.55 feet. What is the percentage decrease of the depth of the lake from January to August? 45% 54% 82% 55%

just like the other problem this just has different numbers what is the change in depth new level - old level express as a percentage percent means per 100 change/ old depth = x/100 where x is the percentage to solve for x ( change/old depth)* 100
