erosion caused by the wind on the rocks This phenomena is due essentially to the friction between the molecules of air and the surface of those rocks

Glacial movement carving the landscape is the next one to come to mind besides what michele said above

flowing water, notice all the smooth rocks on the bottom of a stream

possibly weathering due to changes in temp,water seeping into cracks and expanding when frozen... like the roads do here in Michigan, they weather too much

when a huge storm comes over and a bunch of water falls, and erodes the landscape as it carries debris...
